Spring Is In The Air!

Welcome to Spring Curtaineers! Time for an update and a clear out to set our objectives for the coming summer. Great to announce that The Burning Curtains are now Number 1 in the Manchester Indie Chart and Number 22 in the Worldwide Indie Chart on ReverbNation! our return to that platform has reaped a number of benefits not least the addition of many new fans and followers from Canada and the USA. In fact, Canada is the second highest streamer of TBC music which passed 20,000 streams some weeks ago. Awesome! I’ll give a little time to see if the platform suits us as in the past I’ve had a few issues with it. We’ve also opened an account with Bandcamp which has started already to bring in some revenue!

The unfortunate accident, where I broke a metacarpal in my left hand, has meant we’ve had to cancel a couple of performances in April and May and work on the album has had to be curtailed while I heal and have physio to get me back on the guitar. The plan to release “lofi*” in June may now be moved to August to coincide with our planned performances on the fringe of the HebCelt Festival in Stornaway. Great to see an old favourite of mine will be headlining, KT Tunstall herself.

So enjoy the Spring Sunshine and the Daffodils. Dates for upcoming shows will be published in May. Please share, please check our website for news and info and please give us a listen. xTBCx

April 3rd update – As I guessed, Reverbnation is a mere money making junket for its non musical owners. I always suspected this platform was nothing but a ruse to suck hardworking musicians into parting with their cash for bullshit promises of record deals and global exposure. Avoid this platform. TBC have deleted the account.
